Tomiko Tanaka Hirano passed away on January 6, 2022 in Seattle. Tomi was born on October 20, 1924 in Fresno and graduated from nearby Sanger High School. After receiving her BScience from Wayne State University, she worked as a medical technologist in Detroit.
Tomi married Henry Hirano and moved to Seattle, and then chose to focus on raising her family. She also volunteered countless hours for numerous organizations and enjoyed many years of activities with local clubs.
Tomi and Henry were married for almost 64 years before his passing last July. Tomi is survived by children Tom, Sandy, and Tim (Cindy), and granddaughter Hailey. No services will be held.
