Velma L. Williams

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday June 4, 2011, at 10 0'clock a.m.

at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, 675 College St. , Beaumont, TX.

She attended Blanchette School in Beaumont, Tx. She began working from home as a seamstress specializing in dress making and alterations. She Retired from Mark's Clothing Store located in the Gaylynn Shopping Center as a Sales Associate. After retirement she continued her labor as a supervisor with Texas Industrial Maintenance Services.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Redmon and Bessie Reed Redmon, a brother, Harold Calvin Redmon, her Daughter, Bessie Faye Lyons-Gant and her Grandson, Wilbert Ray Lyons, Jr.

Velma leaves to cherish her life and memories one Sister, Elona Mae Kelley of Fresno, Tx; a son, John Kirkwood (Salle) of Seattle, Washington; two daughters, Lucy Kirkwood-White (James), and Terry Lynn Randle Both of Beaumont, Tx; Grandchildren, Johnny Lyons (Mona), Janell Dotson both of Longview, Tx; Stacy Achan (Anderson), Dustin Deshawn Taylor, Wesley Lewis (Terronica) all of Beaumont, Tx; Derrick Kirkwood and Damien Kirkwood of Seattle, Washington, eighteen Great Grandchildren and ten Great Great Grandchildren. A Host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends, including a special Son-in-Law, Reginald "Sweet Pea" Randle. She had a special love for "Peedy" her four-legged companion who loved her unconditionally.
