Viola May West

Viola West left this world to join her husband Harry and be with Jesus on June 23rd, 2016. She passed peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family. Viola was born on June 12th, 1928 to George and Christine Freeman in Ukiah, California. She was the third child of 11 children.

Viola married Harry E. West on September 30th,1945. They had four children, Mike West, Theresa West, Gary West and Stanley West. Viola is survived by sisters, Jean Attebury, Christine Smith, Mary Collier and brother David Freeman. Including her four children, Mike, Theresa, Gary and Stanley, nine grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, and a very large circle of loved ones.

Viola loved her family, gathering with the people she loved and cherished most. One of her greatest joys came from being outside in the warm sun, doing her gardening and planting her spring flowers. Those things brought her such joy and truly lifted our Viola's spirit. Viola loved all things, as long as her family came together as one, her spirit was content.

Our family would like to thank first and foremost, Theresa "Yingy" West for showing love, kindness, and support, and providing our Mother and Father with the nurturing necessary to leave this world comfortable and content. We would also like to thank Horizon Hospice of Spokane for their loving care of our Mother.
