Virginia Jean Ann Bohannan Stone was born in Dumas, Texas on December 15, 1935 to William and Vira Bohannan. Due to her dad's job with Philco Ford, the family traveled extensively around the country. In 1954 her first son, David, was born. He was followed three years later by son Wayne. Jean and her two boys settled at West Beach on Whidbey Island in 1970. They filled the place with love and horses. Anyone knowing Jean knows that she loved all animals but horses and cats captured her heart. In 1973 Bill Stone also captured her heart and they married in July 1973. Jean worked as Food Services Supervisor at Island County Sheriffs Office for 27 years before retiring in 2000. Jean is survived by her husband Bill, sons, David Campbell and Wayne Martin and stepdaughter and son-in-law, Patti and Lonnie Dalrymple. Services were held at Sunnyside Cemetery in Coupeville.
