Always a nature lover, Darryl became active in the local Audubon Society. He began by leading field trips and was soon elected President of the Pilchuck Chapter. He became well respected in the conservation community he hoped to keep our wild places wild. In the last year of his life he was honored by many different organizations. He will be held in loving memory by his wife Mary, mother Audrey, children Staci, Nikki, and Jennifer, grandchildren Summer, Samuel, Echoe and Sophie, as well the many whose lives he touched so deeply.
