Born December 27, 1916 near Seward, Nebraska, went peacefully to his Lord on December 31, 2002. He is survived by his loving wife, Erika, of 62 years; father of children Ronald Carol, Sheboygan, WI; Elaine Peter Schmidt, Portland, OR; Jerry Mary San Jose, CA; Susan Thomas Oas, Seattle; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Muhly, Dundee, OR and Marilyn Tucker, Oakland, CA, brothers Richard Audrey Martinez, CA, and Fritz Lani Boca Raton, FL. Wally taught at Trinity and Concordia Lutheran schools in Seattle from 1937 until 1982 and was Minister of Music at Trinity Lutheran Church until 1994. He was active in The Seattle Photographic Society. A memorial service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 10th Ave. East and Highland Drive at 11:00am on Saturday, January 4th, 2003. Remembrances may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church or Concordia Lutheran School.
