Age 95, passed away September 9, 2008 in Seattle, Wa. Bill was preceded in death by wife Ida and son Mervyn. Survivors include his children Kathryn Peterson of Bothell, Wa., and Byron Deborah Puvogel of Shoreline, Wa., grandsons Aaron Puvogel of Vancouver, Wa., Matthew Puvogel of Seattle, Wa., and David Puvogel of Mt. Lake Terrace, Wa., brother LaVerne Puvogel of Dallas, Oregon, daughter-in-law Sharon Kuroda of Longview, step-grandson Michael Kuroda of Port Hadlock, and step-granddaughter Kim Wood of Maple Valley. Bill was born in Hiawatha, Kansas, March 26, 1913. He moved to Longview in 1940 and was a resident there for sixty-six years. He was employed by Longfibre for thirty-five years as an electrician. He was an avid amateur radio operator W7LEM for many years and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Longview. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, September 13 at the Longview Memorial Park, Longview, Wa. Memorial services at Epiphany Lutheran Church in Kenmore, Wa. to be announced.
