
Wilbur was born on February 19, 1920 in Kellogg, Idaho. He dedicated his life to serving others. Wilbur preached the word of God throughout the world. He was a missionary in Egypt for 15 years. He was founder and pastor of the Maadi Community Church and Cairo Christian Fellowship in Cairo, Egypt. He was a pastor at several churches throughout the United States including Twin Falls, Idaho, Portland, Oregon, and Bickerville, Connecticut. For over a period of 40 years, he considered the Wallingford area his home. He was a pastor throughout the Seattle Area including Edmonds Church of God, Fairview Church and Woodland Park Church of God in Seattle, Tacoma First Church of God, and Paradise View Church of God, of Tacoma. He was the founder of Kamp Kachess/Double K Boys Ranch in Easton, Washington, a program for dependant delinquent teenagers. Wilbur and his wife Evelyn traveled together as tour guides throughout the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Australia. He was very active in the North Central Kiwanis. After serving the Lord for many years, it was his time to meet his Savior on February 6, 2002 in Shoreline, Washington. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 ? years, Evelyn, daughter Mary Mitchell and her husband Steven, daughter-in-law Sharon, grandchildren Steve, Stacey and her husband Les, Steven, Jim, Byron and his wife Jennifer, Jamie and her husband Patrick, great grandchildren Caleb, Jonathan, and Aubrianna, sister Dorothy Peterson, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his son Russell in 1993. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2002 at 2 P.M., Aurora Church of the Nazarene on the corner of Meridian and 175th St. in Shoreline.
