William "Billie" Davis, 66, passed away peacefully in Seattle, Washington on February 12, 2019 following many years of health problems. He was born May 31, 1952 in Detroit, Michigan. When Willie and his siblings were young, his father died suddenly of a heart attack at age 37 on the Ford Motor Company assembly line and the family moved to California, where his mother became a real estate agent.
Billy was married three times. Marriage to Nancy was short-lived. Then he married Diane but their 7-year-old son died of Leukemia and the marriage broke apart following that tragic event. His last marriage was to Pam Jewett and they had two children before being divorced.
He was a former heavy equipment operator, construction worker, a Marine during the Viet Nam War, Harley-Davidson biker, and guitar player for a rock n' roll band. He will be remembered in his final years as a big "teddy bear" kind of guy who was personable and well-liked by his friends, medical care providers, neighbors, roommates and A.A. friends. He admitted that he had lived a hard life and said he found out he was allergic to Jack Daniels, "Whenever I drink it, I break out in handcuffs!" But his life was totally changed and full of new hope when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior in 2016 and began growing in his faith.
Willie had many friends whom he considered his "family" from his home churches, City Calvary Chapel in Shoreline, WA and Calvary Chapel Edmonds in Edmonds, WA. He attended faithfully until his health made it impossible to attend. It was a privilege to know him and be part of his life.
He is survived by two adult children: Amber Lynn (Jewett) Gagliardi and Justin Franklin Jewett, three sisters: Gloria, Angelita and Sherri, and many friends and family members.
