Xung graduated from Joel E. Ferris High School in Spokane in 1996 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Astronomy from the University of Washington in 2000. He also earned an Associate's degree in Graphic Design from Seattle Central Community College.
Xung was an incredibly gifted writer, a daydreamer, a talented artist, a curious mind with a passion for quantum physics, and a creative soul we lost too soon. Xung had a dry wit and showcased his observational humor at open mics and comedy competitions like the Olympic Peninsula Comedy Contest, which he won in 2011. He was a cherished member of the Seattle comedy community and brought laughter and joy to those around him.
Xung was caring, thoughtful, talented, selfless, smart, and witty. He will be remembered above all as a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He loved his nieces and nephews unconditionally, genuinely listened to them and encouraged their interests.
Xung is survived by his parents, three sisters, and nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Xung may consider making a donation to Fred Hutch Cancer Center in support of its work to cure lung cancer. https://secure.fredhutch.org/goto/xlam
