Our son and daughter were very blessed to have such an outstanding doctor throughout their growing up years. When our son was five, Dr Kumasaka noticed a growth in his throat. He arranged for it to be removed at Children's Hospital and recommended an excellent surgeon. Everything went well and there were no more issues. Dr Kumasaka was a man who had a strong faith in the LORD and he is now with his Savior. His family is in our thoughts and prayers.
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

Dr. Kumasaka was so very kind and helpful to me and my three Birkland daughters. We all cared very much for him and he truly showed he cared for all his patients. He has deserved every single word of praise written here. May those words comfort his family.

My sincerest condolences to the Kumasaka family for their loss. Dr. Kumasaka was a wonderful, caring man who really cared about his patients. I was never scared to go to the doctor as a child because I always felt safe in his care. He literally saved my life as an infant and my parents never had a moment of doubt that he knew what he was doing. Rest in peace...

We were blessed to have Dr. Kumasaka as our children’s pediatrician. He treated both our son and daughter not only for the colds, flus, scrapes, and sprains, but a few serious illnesses as well. He not only provided comfort to our children, but to me and my wife as well. You would never leave the treatment room without a reassuring pat on the leg or hand. He was one of the greatest people I have ever met.

Our deepest sympathy to the Kumasaka family.

My OB recommended Dr. Kumasaka before my son was born and I'm so glad he did. Dr. K was an incredible doctor - always gentle with the kids and the Moms who had no idea what they were doing. The kids loved him and so did I. He will be missed.

He was my pediatrician from birth to about 13. Loved his office, I believe my sister worked in his office in the 70’s. Always had a smile and made me feel safe.
