

Clara G. Jubela passed away in Seguin on the 6th of March, 2012 at the age of 95. Visitation will be held from 3-9 pm in the front stateroom of Goetz Funeral Home on Thursday, March 8th. Services will be held at 10 am on Friday, March 9th at Emanuel's Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Zwarich presiding. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Reiff, Rex Kincaid, Bode Lerch, Ronnie Glenewinkel, Mike Glenewinkel and Lynn Glenewinkel. Honorary pallbearers are George Miller and Christopher Teague.
Clara earned a Bachelors Degree in Arts from Southwest Texas State Teacher's College, August, 1942 and a Master's Degree in Education from Southwest Texas State Teacher's College, May, 1952. She was a professional teacher in the Seguin Public schools for 36 years and a life member of the Texas Retired Teachers Association. She was also a member of Hermann & Sons, the American Association of Retired Persons, Stern Lodge #143 (of which she was Secretary for many years), the Seguin Senior Citizen Center, Emanuel's Ladies Aid, and Emanuel's Altar Guild. Clara was a big Spurs fan, she loved to travel, and she enjoyed volunteering in many capacities.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hilmar and Clara Pape Glenewinkel; husband, Charles A. Jubela, who passed away in 1981; sisters, Anita Johnson and Lydia Jubela.
Clara is survived by nieces, Peggy Jean Jarvis and Glennie Jo Hafley; great nieces, Rebekha Adams, Kathleen Hafley, Darlene Hafley and Justy Lee Irvin; great great nieces, Clara Elizabeth Tomlin and Calie Ann Jarvis; great nephew Barry Jarvis with his wife Phyllis; great great nephews, Joseph Tomlin, Duane Jarvis and David Irvin; her dear neighbor girl, Sarah Eliabeth Reiff and a host of friends.
