Hattie S. Buss

Hattie Sophie Buss, 89 of Seguin, passed away on July 27, 2011. Visitation will be held on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 from 5-9 p.m. at Goetz Memorial Chapel. Chapel services will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 2 at Goetz and interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in New Braunfels with the Pastor Paul Zwarich officiating. Hattie was born on July 30, 1921 in Widding, Texas to Sam and Ella Stoeltje. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Archie Buss, sisters Irma Hauschild, Ella Mae Pesek, Jesma Schmidt, and Joyce Ummelmann. Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Buss Donegan; grandchildren, Chad Donegan and wife Christy and Melissa Donegan; brothers, Sam Stoeltje and wife Dorothy, Franklin Stoeltje and wife Annie Lois; great-grand children, Brook and Travis DeLany and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are David Stoeltje, Carl Stoeltje, Sammie Stoeltje, Donnie Stoeltje, Stevie Stoeltje, and Paul David Cook. Memorial contributions may be made to Nesbit Living and Recovery Center, Emanuel’s Lutheran Church, or Guadalupe Valley Hospice. Arrangements are under the direction of Goetz Funeral Home.
