Jewell Allene Hoermann

Jewell Allene Hoermann age 86, of San Antonio went to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at her home in San Antonio. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation at Goetz Funeral Home on Friday, January 16, 2015 at 1 PM followed immediately by her funeral service at 2 pm. Interment will be at San Geronimo Cemetery, 1620 East Walnut Street, in Seguin.

Jewell was born on August 28, 1928 to William Louis and Lula Mae (Springs) Hoermann in San Antonio. She was always very smart, earning several awards for her math skills. Jewell graduated from both Brackenridge HS in 1945 and later San Antonio College with Honors. Following college, she went to work as a civil servant for Kelly Air Force Base which later became Lackland Air Force Base. Jewell worked in the finance department as an accountant and retired after 30 years of service. Jewell was an excellent cook and made everything she touched taste incredible. She was a member of Highland Park Lutheran Church in San Antonio and volunteered at the church food bank and at church as needed.

Jewell is survived by her loving sister Marguerite E. Hoermann and her cousin Patsy Hoermann Baldwin and her husband Vance as well as numerous family members.
