

Josephine Nell Willmann passed away August 6, 2013, in San Antonio, Texas. Josephine was born August 9, 1955 in Seguin, to Paul E. and Lucile Willmann. She was raised in her parents’ home and attended Seguin public schools. Having multiple needs, with Downs Syndrome and diabetes from age five, Josephine needed and received much care and support from the people of various organizations, including members of Emanuel’s Lutheran Church, Faith Lutheran Church, and the Guadalupe County Mental Retardation Developmental Training Center, where she participated in a sheltered workshop and other programs.
At the time of her death, Josephine was a resident of the San Antonio State Supported Living Center of San Antonio, and previously was a resident of Cedar House, a MOSAIC (formerly Martin Luther Home Society) facility in Seguin. The family is very appreciative of the care and consideration shown to Josephine over the years by MOSAIC, the San Antonio Living Center, and many individuals and helpful staff of each. Following guardianship oversight by her parents, and later by her brother, Friends for Life served in a guardianship capacity. Again, thanks to all the many people and organizations that cared for Josephine in her lifetime.
She is survived by her brother, John Willmann and wife Joan of Richmond, Texas, and their children; her niece, Laura Mason and her husband Bill of San Antonio, her nephew, Paul D. Willmann and his wife Leighann Sullivan Willmann, and their children, her great nephews Liam and Logan Willmann, all of East Weymouth, MA. She is also survived by her uncle, Raymond Willmann; her aunt Bernice Tschoepe, both of Seguin, and her aunt, Lucille Tschoepe, of Victoria, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, her uncle, Herman Tschoepe of Victoria, TX; her aunt Etta Soechting of Carlsbad, NM; her uncles James Tschoepe and David Willmann of Seguin; and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Louis Willmann, and Mr. and Mrs. Emil O. Tschoepe all of Seguin.
Services will be held at Goetz Funeral Home on August 10, 2013, visitation and viewing will begin at 9am with a funeral service to follow at 10 with Pastor Tim Bauerkemper officiating. Interment will be at San Geronimo Cemetery.
