Loraine L. Jandt Reiley

Loraine Lena (Jandt) Reiley, age 84 of Seguin, passed away on August 24, 2011 at Nesbit Living and Recovery Center. Loraine was born on December 18, 1926 in Falls City, Texas to Rudolph and Eltonie Funke Jandt. She married Reno Alfred Reiley on May 5, 1946 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marion, Texas.

Loraine is preceded in death by her parents, infant brother Andrew Jandt and her husband, Reno A. Reiley. Loraine is survived by her sister Lola Hanz; brother-in-law Melvin Reiley; sister-in-law Ruby Reiley; son Reno W. Reiley; daughters: Dianne Voges, Donnie Roberts and husband Ted. She is also survived by five grandchildren: Wesley Reiley and wife Amy, Lisa Person and husband James, Jason Voges, Leann Cowey and husband James, Ryan Voges and wife Sondra; and eight great grandchildren: Regan, Brooke, Peyton and Conner Person; Calyb and Aaron Voges; and Kade and Kaleigh Voges

Loraine moved to Marion, Texas in 1943 with her parents and lived there until 1976 when she and her husband moved to Seguin. After retiring from Hexcel after 25 years, Loraine enjoyed quilting, gardening, baking, family gatherings and playing cards, bunco and dominos with her friends.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Goetz Funeral Home in Seguin from 1 - 9 pm on Friday, August 26th, with family present from 5 - 8 pm. Services will be held in the chapel of Goetz Funeral Home at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 27th. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
