Nancy Tavares Rodriguez

Nancy Rodriguez; a happy, energetic, loving, single mother of three wonderful children, passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 23, 2015 at her home in Seguin following an acute illness at the age of 41. Nancy was born to Pedro Garcia and Maria Santos (Travares) Rodriguez on November 29, 1973 in Memphis Texas.

Friends and family are invited to Goetz Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 26, 2015 between 5 and 7 pm for a time of visitation. An evening funeral service will commence at 7 pm on Wednesday, August 26th in the chapel at Goetz Funeral Home 713 N. Austin Street in Seguin and conclude at 9 pm. Friends and family are invited to return to Goetz Funeral Home at 8 am for a final visitation until 9 am, then depart in recessional to Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park 2951 Hwy 46 South in New Braunfels where she will be laid to rest.

Nancy loved. She loved to dance and to have a good party. She loved to keep up with her friends and family on her phone and through Facebook. She loved shopping with her son and daughters, watching movies, going out for lunch and dinner with her family and tubing the Guadalupe River; but above all, she loved her children. Nancy was dedicated to her care receivers at Guadalupe Valley Nursing Home where she worked as a CNA.

Nancy is survived by her mother Maria, her daughter Claudia and her boyfriend Mario Balders, her son Jose’ and daughter Araceli as well as her sister Teresa Arellano and her niece April Arellano and nephew Angelo Arellano Jr. She was preceded in death by her father Pedro Rodriguez in February 2015.
