Sarah "Betty" Elizabeth Hampton Gray

Sarah Elizabeth “Betty” Hampton Gray passed away on April 6, 2011 in San Antonio at the age of 88. She was born in Fordyce, Arkansas on March 23, 1923 to Mary Workman and Herman R. Hampton. Mrs. Gray will be remembered as an avid tennis player, gardener and writer. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles W. Gray, Jr. Survivors include, but are not limited to, her 3 children, Ann Gray Willmann with husband Kenneth, Bill Gray with wife Kim and Shelly Gray Llewellyn; 5 grandchildren, Amy Willmann Satcher with husband Daryl, Gregory Willmann with wife Marina, Kurt Willmann, Melinda Willmann and Charles M. Llewellyn; 1 great-grandchild Eric Satcher; 1 brother Herman Hampton Jr; and numerous nieces, nephews and many other relatives. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Sterling House at the Medical Center and Odyssey Hospice, both of San Antonio, for the great care that was given to Mrs. Gray.
