William S. Ierna 99, was born on January 20,1921 to Francesso and Salvatrice (Romano) Yerna and died on January 20, 2020 in Largo, Florida surrounded by his loving family.
Bill spent his early years in Hartford, Connecticut. He moved to Inwood, New York where he met and married Margharita Santorio.
He was in the US Army Special Services from 1943-1946. After the service he toured the States as a professional entertainer and band leader. He then settled in Gibson, New York from 1950-1960 as the local entertainer and night club manager before relocating to Madeira Beach, Florida in 1960 as a professional piano tuner and builder while continuing to play his beloved sax.
Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife, Margharita. He is survived by his daughter, Melanie Feldman; sons, William F. Ierna and Frank Ierna; brother, Joseph Ierna; 9 loving grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
