Charlotte Z. Gorman Melcher

MELCHER, Charlotte Z., 97, of St. Petersburg Florida, and formerly of Pinellas Park, Florida, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 at Eagle Lake Rehab & Care Center in St. Petersburg, FL. She was born February 15, 1918 in Ballston Spa, New York, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Georgiana (Guertin) Gorman. Charlotte moved to Florida in 1955 from Ballston Spa, New York. She was an assembler for Honeywell Corp. and a member of the Honeybelles of Honeywell. Charlotte was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinellas Park and the Ladies Auxiliary of D.A.V. Chapter #13 of St. Petersburg.

She was preceded in death by a son, John VanBuren, and daughters, Judith Reed and Jeanne Rapa. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Robert A. Melcher; a son, William VanBuren, III, and his wife, Sandy; a daughter, Charlotte Mobley; 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 28, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 8001 46th St. No. Pinellas Park, FL 33781, where the Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m.
