Donna Lee Knickerbocker

Born in Elmira, NY, Donna was the beloved daughter of Joanne Joyce Briggs and Donald Arthur Briggs. A proud graduate of East High School, she later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from GST BOCES in New York. Donna dedicated much of her life to caring for others, working as a nurse for the Biloxi VA Hospice Unit and at Volante Assisted Living in Largo, FL. She was a proud member of the National Association of Licensed Practical Nurses.

On May 25, 1985, she married the love of her life, David Knickerbocker, with whom she shared 38 years of marriage until his passing on September 26, 2023.

Donna was known for her kind heart, sharp wit, and playful spirit. She had a special love for her Maine Coon cats, Bullitt and Angel, and she never passed up a chance to enjoy a game of mini golf or to claim victory at board games with family and friends.

She is survived by her loving sister, Tracy Lott, and her step-siblings Michael, Sheila, Cathy, Rhonda, Kevin, and Blake. Donna’s compassion, sense of humor, and unwavering strength will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held in her honor at 1:00 PM on May 27, 2025, at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home and Cemetery.
