Dorothy Jeanne Heubeck

HEUBECK, Jeanne, 98, of Largo, Florida, passed away peacefully on April, 11, 2019 after a long and very blessed life. Born on April 23, 1920 in Baltimore, Maryland. Jeanne grew up with her sister and brother in Irvington. A Graduate of Western High School, she worked as a nurse’s aide for several years during WWII. In 1946, Jeanne married George Huebeck of Catonsville where they lived until 1962. Together they raised two children.

In 1968 the family moved to Ocala, Florida after living for five years in Watertown, South Dakota. She and her husband made many treasured friendships in each community where they lived. Jeanne and George enjoyed playing bridge, square dancing, and traveling with their family. After her husband’s passing in May of 2012, Jeanne moved to Largo.

Serving as a volunteer with Meals on Wheels and other charities, Jeanne showed compassion towards others throughout her life. During her adult years she was an active member of the United Methodist Church.

Jeanne was the living mother of daughter Karen (Steve) Horning of Largo, and her son George “Rick” Huebeck of Davis, California. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

An Interment service was held Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2019 in the chapel at Anona United Methodist Church campus in Largo. The church office will have specific details on services in her memory.
