George was born in Hoboken, New Jersey to Daniel and Lillian “Kadey” Hayes. He moved to Pinellas Park in 1974 from Rutherford, NJ where he was a delivery salesman for Gulf Oil Company. George was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in St. Petersburg, Florida and a member of Highland Lodge #80 F & AM and Royal Arcanum, both of New Jersey.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet.
Survivors include his son, Dennis G. Hayes and his wife Luci; 3 Grandchildren, Twila Barrick, Joseph Boatwright and Shawn Boatwright; and 2 Great Grandchildren, Joseph and Taylor Barrick.
Funeral services held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Garden Sanctuary Mausoleum and laid to rest with his wife, Janet privately Monday, December 12, 2011.
