Irene was born on August 12, 1944, in Poland to Anthony and Maria Ambraziejus. She later moved to the United States, where she built a beautiful life centered on family, learning, and love. Irene earned her Bachelor’s degree from University of Illinois Chicago.
Above all, Irene was devoted to her family. A proud mother of three, she lovingly referred to herself as a “Home Engineer,” a title that perfectly captured her dedication, strength, and sense of humor. She created a warm and welcoming home filled with the aromas of her cooking, the beauty of her gardens, and shelves lined with well-loved books. She had a deep passion for reading, gardening, and preparing meals that brought everyone together around the table.
Irene is survived by her son, Justin DePinto; and her daughters, Audra Capriola and Nicola DePinto. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength that will live on in her children and in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
