

THOMPSON, JAMES O. “Bud”, 70, of Cherry Valley, IL and Redington Beach, FL. passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 of complications from an illness. He was surrounded by his wife, Donna and daughters. Bud was a hard working, honest, well respected successful plumbing contractor. Because of that, he was able to achieve the full enjoyment of his life. He had a great sense of humor and a big heart. If you had a problem or question, he would help you out anyway he could, whether you were a family member or a friend. He loved to fish and hunt, and was an avid Nascar fan. He was the best husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and true friend. Not only was he a great father to his own children, but also his grandchildren, Amy, Zach, & Nic. He was admired by all and will be missed by us all.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; daughters, Jennifer (Pat) Schroeder, Julie Shalda, Kim Anderson; son, James Thompson; grandchildren, Amy Jones, Zachary and Nicholas Anderson, and Chase Thompson, and a special four legged family member, Foxy.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Leslie, his parents and siblings.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
