Janet was a caregiver her whole life, early on she was a Red Cross Grey Lady, a Candy Striper. Becoming a wife and mother brought Janet the most joy with many new opportunities to love, care and guide others. Janet was a Cub Scout Den Mother, Newspaper Delivery Coordinator, Daycare Preschool teacher, Chauffeur for the KPAA Baseball Team, Fanny Farmer Sales Cashier, Administrator at Sovereign Yacht Company, Personnel/Human Resource Manager for the Belleview Biltmore and Belleview Gulf, caring Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Janet was a long-time active member of St. Jerome Catholic Church where she volunteered and worked with the Lifeline Ministries Food Bank and Homeless Outreach Programs. Janet was a dedicated volunteer to Meals on Wheels for over 14 years as well.
Janet played a huge part in her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren's lives as well, caring, guiding and supporting them whenever needed.
Janet loved sports and was a longtime dedicated football fan of her Beloved Buffalo Bills, one of her favorite quotes and words she lived by, "Be Good, Do Good, God Bless, Go Bills!"
Janet was married for 63 years to the love of her life Daniel Steeg. They loved music and loved dancing. Our hearts are heavy but also happy knowing they are now dancing together again.
