As a young girl and teenager, Joanne displayed great talent as an artist and loved sports as well. In high school, she was a majorette. Joanne moved from Atlanta Georgia to Pinellas Park Florida in 1961 with three children, Laurie, Julie, Tim and dad Robert (Bobby).. While living in Pinellas Park, she started nursing school at St. Petersburg Jr. College graduating as a registered nurse.
Amazingly, she went to school and took care of three children while working on her RN degree.
She worked at Palms of Pasadena and then Bay Pines Hospitals in the cardiac intensive care units for many years. She worked as an RN long enough to put her oldest daughter through med school, and second child through undergraduate school.
She retired at 50 years of age from nursing and became an avid golfer. She certainly loved the game as well as watching golf tournaments in person and on TV. Many of her best friends were golfers. She even made a hole in one while playing golf at the Pasadena Yacht and Country Club.
Joanne always had a zest for life and enjoyed cruising.
She was a superb cook and always hosted wonderful dinners, especially at Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was also very generous to all three of her children.
Mom/Joanne was blessed to have two loves of her life Robert J. Anglin and Dr. Paul C Clark (first and second husbands)
Mom also enjoyed singing in the choir at her church and in the ensemble/choir at Lake Seminole Square. She will be greatly missed!
A visitation for Joanne will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131 Street North, Seminole, FL 33776, followed by the funeral service with interment at Garden Sanctuary Cemetery.
