Judy Hamilton, 72 of Seminole, Florida passed away after fighting three bouts of cancer. She died on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. She was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota and was raised on a farm in Northern Iowa with her three siblings. She graduated from Mankato State, with honors and a degree in marketing.
After graduating from college, she moved to Minnesota and worked in marketing at Land O’ Lakes then moved to Malt-O- Meal as a marketing manager. She retired in 1989 and moved to the Tampa Bay area in Florida where she and her husband started a tax and accounting business.
Judy’s biggest interests were organizing and traveling including traveling to Biloxi and Las Vegas to play Willie Wonka. She always had a crossword puzzle in her purse or treats for the dogs she sees on her morning walks. In the evenings you would find her sitting on the patio feeding the rabbits.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Hamilton, two stepchildren, Kimm Terpening of California, Scott Hamilton of Wisconsin and three grandchildren, Vance Buhr of Denver, Stephanie Terpening of San Francisco and Meagan Terpening of Seattle.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the celebration of Judy’s life will be scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to The American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
