She is survived by her three loving children, Fiske, Camille and Lori, her son in laws, Joey Aucoin and Murad Ismail, as well as grandchildren Jason, Samantha, and Amanda, and great grandchildren Cooper, Brody, Emma, Logan and Everly. Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Samuel John Logan, who passed away on August 6, 1978.
Born in Flint, Michigan, on September 20, 1928, to Herbert and Bernice Gresham, Lois was a lively young girl who grew to be quite an extraordinary young woman. She graduated high school in 1947 and attended college in North Carolina. In 1952, Lois joined Beta Sigma Phi sorority where served as chapter President and many legacy positions throughout her life. Lois then met Samuel John Logan, a United States Navy & Korean War (Honorably discharged) veteran. Lois and Samuel married in October of 1955 in Charlotte, North Carolina. The two settled in Seminole, Florida, where they had their children and built a life.
Lois was an active member of the community and a dedicated philanthropist. She was a wonderful and loving mother, who always put her children first. She also genuinely loved her once-a-week hair appointments, sorority and social engagements and ALL animals. Lois spent much of her life nannying young children while still enjoying her grandchildren, and in more recent years, her great grandchildren. She was addressed by her grandchildren and great grandchildren as “grams” and enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk while sipping her evening cocktail and dancing (with her feet) to the talented musicians.
Lois radiated class and had a genuine love for those around her. She will be greatly missed, but her family at peace knowing she is finally with her true love, Sam, together as angels in Heaven watching over all.
Arrangements were made under the direction of Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home 7950 131st N., Seminole, Florida 33776 / 727-391-0121.
