Margaret K. Dell,90, on Friday, May 15th, 2015, Margaret Kinsinger Dell, after a short illness, peacefully went to be with the Lord and her beloved husband, Bob (Robert A. Dell), who predeceased her by 15+ years. Margaret was born in Pontiac, IL August 25th, 1924 to Edward Kinsinger and Ella Garber Kinsinger. She was the sixth child of seven. Family was extremely important to Margaret. She was known as the peacemaker. Much to her dismay, she was predeceased by her brothers Frank Kinsinger, Ken Kinsinger, John Kinsinger and her sisters, Kathryn Bayston, Mary Chase and Josephine Vercler.
Margaret grew up on a farm in Chenoa, Illinois where she was active in 4-H and raised a prize winning lamb and a prize winning steer. After graduating high school, she attended business school and later became the Chief Financial Officer of Dell Displays in Chicago. Margaret was also deeply involved in her sorority and the National Secretaries Association. Margaret and Bob married when she was 50. She was always happy to say “He was my boss, so of course, I never gave him a hard time!” They traveled and enjoyed their lives together including at least one, if not two, flights on the Concorde. Margaret and Bob eventually retired to Treasure Island, FL in the ‘90’s, then moved to St. Petersburg, FL where they were able to dock their boat. They were members of the Treasure Island and the St Petersburg Yacht Club. As Bob became ill, Margaret (originally a ‘landlubber’) learned how to pilot the boat and was always working out ways to get Bob and his wheelchair onto their boat for a ride. She was truly a devoted wife who cared for Bob through a long, debilitating illness. Margaret remained an active member of the Boca Ciega Power Squadron after Bob passed away in 1999. Margaret loved people and often quietly helped out others in need. She was crazy about her ‘boys’, two Shi Tzu litter mates, that she had to part with before she moved to her new home in Seminole. She loved color and being colorful! We always teased her about what type of hat she might wear to the next wedding or the bright/wild colors she loved to splash together! She loved to dance and took dance lessons into her late ‘80s! Although she never had children of her own, she endeared herself to her many nieces, nephews and their families as well as her step-children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grand-child and her many friends. Her work ethic, flashy cars, delightful hats, determination, that twinkle in her eye, her compassion for others and her love of all things fun will be greatly missed by all who knew her well.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to your favorite charity or to the benevolent fund of Faith Community Church, 11501 Walker Ave. N., Seminole, FL 33772.
Funeral arrangements were made under the direction of Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131st St. Seminole, FL 33776 / 727-391-0121
