

Marilyn was born on December 22, 1933 in Wilkinsburg, PA to Bruce and Mary Gibson. She became a Registered Nurse in 1954 and worked at Westinghouse where she met William R. Thomas. They were married for 30 years and raised their children in West Virginia, New York and Ohio and moved to Seminole in 1973. She co-founded Davit Master and was one of the founders of Nautical Structures. She continued her education and received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eckerd College. She enjoyed her volunteer work with the Guardian ad Litem, Juvenile Welfare Board and Unity-Progressive Council.
She loved raising her children and grandchildren, luncheons with dear friends, playing Bridge and MooShu Tiles, attending Florida Orchestra concerts, traveling, gardening, woodturning and stained glass work. She attended Christ the King Lutheran Church of Largo and Unity Church of Clearwater.
She will be remembered by her children (and spouses), Rick (Lisa), Mary, Karen (Al) and Cheryl (Miguel) and grandchildren, Richard, Aidan, Tristan, Alyssa, Kaleen, Analiese, Julia and Miguel. She was preceded in passing by her son Jeffrey Timothy, her parents and siblings, Bruce, Randolph, Joan and Myron.
A Celebratory Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 on Sept 14th at Christ the King Lutheran Church of Largo, Pastor Nate Peregoy will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (www.cff.org).
