Mary Ann Hauckes (nee Harris), age 79, of Seminole, FL passed away at home on August 16, 2022.
Mary, known to her family & friends as Ann, was born in Hudson Falls, New York on September 2, 1942.
Her family moved to Florida when she was 10. She received her degree in English Education from the University of South Florida, and after several years as a substitute teacher, Mary went on to a distinguished 35 year career with the State of Florida as a supervisor for the Agency For Health Care Administration.
She performed in local community theatres and utilized her considerable sewing skills in the costume department. It was at the theatre where she met her husband, Bill. They were married in 1973 on New Years Eve. Mary's music of choice was Rock-n-Roll and she enjoyed going to concerts. Her favorite artists were Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry and the Beatles. Mary also painted and loved to quilt, making hundreds of wall hangings, as well as pillows and bed quilts. She was an avid reader and was rarely seen without a book in her hand. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Vicki J. Kalmbach. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Bill; daughter, Donna Lynn Householder and son-In-law, James Householder.
