Mieczyslaw Blaz was born in Wesolowka, Poland (now Ukraine) and passed away at the age of 92 at home in St. Petersburg, Florida.
He grew up on a farm with his parents, Adolf and Bronislawa Blaz. He was the oldest of four siblings. All of his siblings died at a young age.
Mieczyslaw was the first in his family to attend college. He attended an agriculture college and graduated with a Master's degree. He became a chemistry teacher and the a school director.
He married Wanda Blaz in Jelenia Gora in 1952 and together they had three children, Edward, Grazyna (Grace) and Zbigniew (Andrew). He had five grandchildren, Magda, Filip, Paulina, Pawel (Paul), Joanna and Eli. He had ten great grandchildren, Kasia,Natalia, Dominik, Julek, Ella, Gabby, Julie, Hannibal and Freya.
