Cliff died at age 50, leaving Phyllis a widow at age 41. She continued to raise 2 daughters and work full time as a Labor and delivery nurse at St. Lukes Hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
In 1979, She married Harley Grace, and they retired together, moving to Hudson, Florida in 1980. There, they were together and active in all events that pertained to the Aripeka Elks Lodge and volunteered with numerous groups. They spent 38 years of marriage, together, until he passed in 2017

She was a constant in our lives and enjoyed her life to the fullest. Full of spunk and energy, she was an active and generous person, who never missed a chance to party and help others. The stories are plentiful and we will miss her boxed wine, her fast walking and most of all her love for Grand Marnier, among a lot of other memories. May she now dance, hold her son and husband in heaven, see her parents and keep an eye on her family, from above.
