Dick is known for his many talents as well as being kind and pleasant to everyone who knew him. His interests and hobbies are many. He loved to drive and hit the open road pulling a 5th wheel RV, never found a campground he did not like. He and Beverly visited family and friends across the country as well as train museums and baseball parks. Dick took care of his mother and her home in Lowville every summer until 1993 when she moved to Brookside. At home, named “Zehrsinn” he was known as the neighborhood fix it man, loved his Christmas trains and villages and was a caregiver for Beverly’s mother, Ruby Clow and his uncle Harry Girard. Over the years “Zehrsinn” welcomed both young and old as guests and once there, they all felt very much “at home”. All were welcomed with a big smile and open hearts from both Dick and Beverly. He belonged to a bowling league in whatever town he lived for over 50 years. Dick and Beverly added longtime friend, Harriett Tichenor into the family as another mother and grandmother. During these past few years, he truly enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles. In every facet of his life, he always went the second mile and will always be remembered for the wonderful person he was. His heart never left his beloved hometown of Lowville, NY, all who knew him knew about Lowville. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend.
