

96, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away suddenly at home June 3, 2016. He was born July 28, 1919 in Tucson, Arizona, the son of Frederick and Esther (Hertzler) Harding. Robert and his late wife, Lucy, moved to St. Petersburg in 1961 from Brooklyn, New York. Robert retired with the rank of Major from the US Army serving in both WWII and Korea He was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church.
He is survived by a daughter, Jean E. Priest, and her husband William of Costa Rica; a brother, Emanuel Harding; a sister, Elizabeth Burnett; grandchildren, Laurel Deruda and Ann Gray; and great grandchildren, Marina Deruda, Daniel Gray, and Matthew Gray, and many nieces and nephews from California, New York, Nevada, Wyoming, and Canada.
Graveside services with Full Military Honors will be 2:15pm Tuesday, July 26th at Bay Pines National Cemetery in Bay Pines, Florida. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00pm Thursday, July 28th at Westminster Suncoast. 1095 Pinellas Point Dr. S. St. Petersburg, FL 33705. The family suggests no flowers or memorial donations.
