Ronald "Ron" Ray Phillips

June 17, 1943May 3, 2021

Ronald Ray Phillips, passed unexpectedly at the age of 77, on May 3rd, 2021 in Seminole, Florida.

Ron was born in Minneapolis, MN, on June 17, 1943 to his mother, Virginia Parmer and father, Ray Phillips and graduated from Robinsdale High School in 1961.

Ron joins his wife Lois and daughter, Lori Phillips in eternal life.

Ron is survived by his son, Russ (Lisa) Phillips, Webster, MN, and his daughter, Launa Phillips, Tampa, FL, and his grandchildren, Kenneth, Megan and Sean and his brother, Gary (Andrea) Parmer.

Ron married his high school sweetheart, Lois, in 1965 and raised their family in Prior Lake, Minnesota.

Ron served in the United States Army after high school and started his working years at a trucking company, then a car salesman and retired after being a resort owner in Nevis, MN at Shady Lawn Resort.

Ron would “quit” work every summer to travel out west with his family and hike the canyons, He always got his job back. He loved Nascar, walks on the beach, painting his home, his family and his dogs. You could always find mints in his pockets, extra electric shavers in his car or plastic combs around for his curly hair. Ron believed everything could be fixed with duct tape. Only two things he didn’t like, was garlic and traffic.

Ron lived in Florida for the past 17 years and had a good life with his girlfriend Charlene (Laird). He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of his life will be held in Minnesota at a later date.

Arrangements were made under the direction of Garden Sanctuary Funeral Home, 7950 131st Street, Seminole, FL 33776 / 727-391-0121.

When we met 17 yrs ago I fell in love with your soft gentle personality, soft spoken voice and those ice blue eyes. We spent the whole nite on Madeira Beach and the whole next day together for17yrs together. Traveling cross country taking cruises every year, we shopped for the home we settled in for the past 15yrs. We built a home with our puppies whom we loved and traveled with everywhere we went. I miss you so much with love, your in God's arms now. Thanks for 17 great years, you are in my heart forever.

I wish we could go camping together again and see all the placed you took us to. I will never forget the good times we had.

My heart aches for your loss. Ron was so kind! I will miss him picking on me. He let us get away with so much when we were younger. He was such a great Man. I can only imagine the reunion with him, your mom and Lori. You are all in my prayers. Luv to you all
