

Suzanne (Barks) Bell of Seminole, Florida joined our Lord and Savior, Friday, May 1, 2026. She was born to Violet Watson Barks and John Barks on July 25, 1939 in Frankfort, Indiana. Her family moved to New Castle, Indiana and lived there until her sophomore year in high school. They moved to Greenwood, Indiana where she graduated from Center Grove High School in 1956.
Suzanne worked for Marsh Supermarkets for 20+ years as a deli/bakery manager. There she met the love of her life, Don Bell and they were married March 18, 1978. They moved to Seminole, Florida in 1981 where she and her daughter, Denise started a cleaning business. She also sold Home Interiors as she enjoyed decorating. She retired from the workforce in 2002 where she and Don enjoyed traveling with their good friends, Bob and Diane Cooper.
Suzanne loved to cook and bake for her family! She loved collecting and looking at recipe books and coming up with new recipes. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and was a dedicated fan of the Hallmark movie channel.
Suzanne loved the Lord and although her health didn’t allow her and Don to make it to Sunday services at Indian Rocks Church some Sundays, she never missed watching and listening online. They both enjoyed Wednesday night services and meals at the church too.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Don, whom was a great caregiver for her. She is also survived by her six children; Dwayne (Jill) Doles of Greenwood, Indiana, Denise (Alan) Perry of Seminole, Florida, Mike (Jeaná) Bell of Seminole, Stacy Ward of Seminole, Chris (Pat) Lemieux of Fishers, Indiana, and Eric (Nicole) Smith of Seminole.
Suzanne was blessed with 11 grandchildren; Mitchell Eggers, Randee Fumea, Megan Lee, Adam Doles, Theron Bell, Brianna Browning, Jake Lemieux, Josh Lemieux, Sarah Stanley, Morgan Lemieux, and Wyatt Smith. She also had 7 great-grandchildren; Skylar, Eli, Moses, Emmie, George, Roman, and Bennett. She will also be missed by her beloved pets Rudy and Irish.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Paul Barks and Dale Barks, and her sister Linda Douglass.
Suzanne’s funeral service is at 12:00 on Thursday, May 7th in the Chapel at Indian Rocks Church, 12685 Ulmerton Road, Largo. Mitchell Eggers, her grandson, will officiate the service. Visitation and a reception will follow the service.
