Born on February 15, 1937, in Detroit, Michigan, Thomas lived a life defined by faith, family, and service. Together with Maryann, his devoted wife of 65 years, he built a loving home and raised their three daughters in Farmington, Michigan.
Thomas enjoyed a long and successful career as an automotive engineer with Chrysler. However, some of his greatest contributions came through his service to his family, country and community. Thomas used his handyman skills to build and renovate beautiful living spaces where the family gathered frequently. Thomas' technical knowledge of cars was both a hobby and help to the family throughout his life. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and volunteered as both a police officer and firefighter for the City of Farmington for more than 25 years.
His greatest joys in life were his faith, his family, and fishing. Thomas was a cherished member of St. Patrick Catholic Church and its parish community, where he was known for warmly greeting fellow parishioners each Sunday. He was also a familiar and welcoming presence in his neighborhood, often relaxing on his front porch and offering a friendly wave and hello to everyone who passed by.
Thomas will be remembered most for his unwavering love and devotion to his family. His profound commitment to his wife, Maryann, was evident every day of their marriage. Even in his final days, he cared for her with tenderness and affection. Their enduring love was reflected as they held hands together until he was called to his eternal home in heaven by God, our loving Father. Thomas was a man of strong character and conviction, unwavering in his faith, values, and commitment to protecting and providing for those he loved.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary S. Pelts (Fryzel); his father, Maryan Markiewicz; his stepfather, Donald Rossman; his brother, Edward Markiewicz; and his parents-in-law, Jane Korby (Spzak) and John Korby.
Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Rossman (Korby); his daughters, Deborah Jacobs (Rossman), Patricia Chandler (Rossman) and husband Galen Chandler, and Denise Ronayne (Rossman) and husband Kelly Ronayne; his grandchildren, Jackson Jacobs, Clayton Jacobs and wife Gui Gui Jacobs, Conor Ronayne, Olivia Chandler, Veronica Chandler, and Mary Ronayne; his sister-in-law, Diane Watson (Korby); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
