Timothy Steven Mays passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on October 20th, 2021, at 32 years of age in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Timmy is survived by his devoted mother Samantha Gerhard, his loving father Timothy Mays his stepmother Maureen Mays, his loving sister Laura Mays and stepbrother Thomas Parker, his grandmother Jenifer Thomas, and his nana Mary Allen and all his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Timmy is
preceded in death by paternal grandparents Robert and Theresa Mays and stepfather Mark Gerhard.
Timmy loved life and always wanted to help wherever he could. Timmy had such a big smile and a big heart. Timmy loved to BMX race when he was younger and won many trophies and he also loved to skateboard as well as skim boarding. Timmy felt so at home at the beach it was his happy place where he could skim board, hang out with friends and at the end of the day relax and watch a sunset. Timmy enjoyed playing his guitar..
Timmy loved his job detailing boats, it offered him the opportunity to travel the US and abroad do what he enjoyed doing. He always said, “if you love what you do you will never work a day in your life” and he truly loved what he did.
Everyone that knew Timmy was aware of the struggles he had with addiction. He tried very hard to overcome this disease but unfortunately the addiction was more than he could overcome. Addiction was the illness that took him, but never the essence of who he was.
Timothy will be remembered by the many lives he touched and the friends he helped along the way. He will be in our hearts forever.
