November 9th, 1937 – May 1, 2025
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Nurse and Devoted Servant of God
With profound love and gratitude for a life beautifully lived, we honor the memory of Urcena E. Ocampo, who peacefully joined her Creator on May 1st, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, grace and unwavering devotion to her family and faith.
Urcena was the cherished wife of the late Benjamin Paz Ocampo, MD and together they build a life rooted in care, sacrifice and enduring love. She was the proud mother of three children: Nelson E. Ocampo (married to Grace Martinez Ocampo), Cheryl Ocampo Ignacio (married to Dr. Tirso Ignacio), and Benjamin E. Ocampo (married to Jean Sarmiento Ocampo). Her greatest joy came from taking care of her six beloved grandchildren: Erika Ocampo, Kyle Ocampo, Tristan Ignacio, Dillon Ignacio, Benjamin J. Ocampo and Alexander Ocampo.
Urcena was one of eight siblings and the last surviving member of the Asinas family. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Celestino Asinas, Leonore Asinas Mauricio, Aurelio Asinas, German Asinas, Teodorico Asinas, Gloria Asinas Feliciano and Marcel Asinas. She now joins them in eternal peace, a final reunion of love.
Her Life and Legacy
Urcena served as an ICU nurse with dedication and compassion, touching countless lives with her healing hands and kind heart. In addition to her nursing career, she dedicated her time to medical missions in the Philippines, offering care and comfort to underserved communities. She loved to cook, garden and play Mahjong with her friends on Sundays. Her greatest joy came from caring for her grandchildren in their early years, putting family first in all things. She extended her heart generously to nieces and nephews, offering the same love and support to the next generation.
She was a pillar of strength- faithful, nurturing and endlessly generous. A devout Catholic, Urcena enjoyed going to Mass, even attending virtually when her health no longer allowed her to be physically present. Her life was a reflection of quiet faith and steadfast love.
She leaves behind a legacy of care, resilience and grace. Her presence will be deeply missed but forever felt in the hearts of those she loved.
