WOOD, Willis E., 86, of Bradenton, FL passed away Monday, August 23, 2010 at Heritage Park Care and Rehab Center. He moved to Florida in 1981 from his native Middletown, NY, where he was a supervisor of transportation for the State of New York. He was an Army Air Force Veteran of WWII and a member of American Legion in Middletown. He was an avid antique car lover.
Willis was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Churchill and a brother, Harold Wood.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Irene; a son, Lee Allen (Tammy) Wood of Godeffroy, NY; 2 grandchildren, Joleen Wood (Steve) Johnson and Christopher Michael Wood, and 3 great grandchildren.
