Adele Marie Klaczak

Adele was born Jan 1 (a New Year’s baby!) in Morton, Pennsylvania, daughter of

the late Lena MacGinnis and Gilbert MacGinnis. She was born, raised and spent

so many memorable years in Morton, Pa. One of her favorite memories was a time

when she was a little girl when she watched her dad walking up their driveway

with something he was trying to hide in his suit pocket, but its excitement gave

away the surprise. Her dad brought home a cocker spaniel puppy that they named

Lady, who was a special part of their family for many years.

Friends were such an important part of her life, sharing close and lifelong

friendships from her childhood, from those at school at Notre Dame and from her

days working at Provident mutual. Her children lovingly knew them as Aunt

Marie, Aunt Delores, Aunt Mary and Aunt Lorraine. Her friends and their families

remained very close to Adele and her family all through the years.

Adele studied accounting and bookkeeping in school and started her career at

Provident Mutual. Through the years, she worked at several companies, including

Provident Mutual, Holiday Gardens and Elwyn Educational Institute. But all of

these jobs paled in comparison to her most important job and most treasured

accomplishment of having a family and raising two children.

While spending time with her friends in 1957, they decided to have a night out at a

dance hall. That is where she met John at Chez Vous, a dance hall in Upper

Darby, Pa. No one really knows (or admits), who approached who first at the

dance hall, but it really doesn’t matter as it was meant to be forever. They dated for

two years and married on Saturday September 12, 1959 and settled into their first

home in Folcroft, Pa. They spent 63 years loving and caring for one another and

would always be seen holding hands wherever they would go.

Adele and John always had a love for family and were blessed with a daughter,

Mary Ann, and son, Robert. They have 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren

and spent over 40 years raising their family in Morton, Pa and creating the most

wonderful memories together. Adele was a very loving and caring Mother and

MomMom, who always made her children and grandchildren her priority and was

involved in all aspects of their lives at every age. Fond and special memories of

sleepovers at MomMoms will be remembered by all.

Adele was such a confidant with everyone she met. She made friends easily as she

made everyone feel comfortable and someone you could share personal things

with, knowing she would be incredibly supportive, would provide guidance and

would never break a trust. She was a very talented person with her hobbies and

well known for her ceramics and quilt-making. Her entire family have many

treasures from her over the years. One family member said “the quilts we all have

will be a warm hug from her every time we wrap ourselves in them”.

Life took Adele, John and their children on many journeys and travels. Most

memorable were the vacations to Sunset Beach, NC, where they eventually had a

second home. While John loved the warm weather and beach, Adele was drawn to

the small town because of the wonderful and amazing friends she had there. Those

friends are some of the most amazing people you would ever meet, who loved and

cared for one another and who are all considered family.

While Adele had many memories and loves, her love of cooking and John’s love

for eating were a special memory. Every holiday and frequent get togethers were a

celebration of family, friendships and amazing meals. Maybe it was John who was

the reason she enjoyed cooking, and he certainly made her feel wonderful about it

as there was never a leftovers in the Klaczak’s household. John and Adele’s bond,

partnership and love will always be the fondest memory the family holds.

Adele was also an avid reader, who would often read well into the late night and a

person who truly could not put a book down once she started. Her reading

interests went across many genres, with mystery being one of her favorites. No

doubt when she met someone new, she made quick connections as the

conversations would go to reading interests and favorite novels.

With such strong family ties, Adele and John moved to a home in West Grove, Pa.

when John retired from his work. It was important for them to continue living in

Pennsylvania, as they were a strong and special part of their children and

grandchildren’s lives.

After many years, once the grandchildren had grown, Adele and John moved to

Sunset Beach, NC. They were very fortunate to have close friends and wonderful

neighbors there, as it was akin to the neighborhoods and communities “way back

when”, in which everyone was there to help and support one another.

There are so many people that miss Adele, because she was such a kind and

wonderful person and close friend to many. Her children, family and friends know

she is safe and peaceful now, together with John. We love you “Mom” and

“MomMom” and will forever be grateful for the time we were generously given to

spend with such a wonderful person.

Survivors of Adele include her two children, Mary Ann Stuart and husband Dan of

Texas and Robert Klaczak and wife Linda of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren,

Danny, Laura, Nick, Jenna, Joshua, Philip, and Nicholas; and six great

grandchildren, Shayne, RaeLynn, RJ, Bowie, Zoey and Krew.
