Saunders, Sr.
Alma’s life was characterized by the everlasting love of Christ abounding within her. Her love deeply enriched the lives of her family, particularly the life of her husband Bill, to whom she was married for over 67 years. She raised an active family, yet, during her working years, was always the first one into the office. Hard work, outside and inside the home, was simply part of her nature. Despite severe physical challenges in the second half of her life, she was an unfailing testament to the goodness and faithfulness of her Savior. In the midst of great trials, she always smiled, was always positive, was always devout and never complained. A smile graced her face when receiving a colorful manicure from her friend, Charity Parsons, or while enjoying fragrant flowers and other treasures from kind neighbors, but pure joy radiated from her smile when giving a present to others. She was well known for her limitless generosity. Her Christian faith and love of Jesus will be her enduring legacy and especially evidenced in all of her children and grandchildren.
Special gratitude will forever be extended to caregivers Ricki Sellers, Debbie Hardee and Valarie Goad, who provided such tender and capable assistance in more recent years. They cared for Alma like she was their mother and many smiles and much love were given and received.
