

Amanda will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her. Her presence carried a quiet grace—marked by compassion, a gentle spirit, and a steady thoughtfulness that made others feel seen and cared for. In the lives she touched, she leaves a lasting imprint of kindness and warmth, and she will be dearly missed.
Amanda was born in New Hanover County on April 12, 1975 and was the daughter of David and Marie Ellis Brittain of Bolivia. She was a Registered Nurse for many years and worked in the Labor and Delivery Department. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chris Long.
In addition to her parents she is survived by two children, Hunter Long (Ava Kathryn) of Ocean Isle Beach and Savannah Benton of Bolivia; a brother, Jonathan Brittain (Carrie) of Bolivia; a niece, Breanna "B.B." Brittain of Bolivia; father and mother In-law, Gary and Cathy Long of Ocean Isle Beach; sister in-law, Renee Cribbs of Cary, NC; uncle and aunt Bud and Linda Chadwick of Wilmington, NC
A celebration of life graveside service will be held Saturday June 20, 2026 at two o'clock in the afternoon at the Ganus Cemetery in Longwood with Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Ganus Cemetery one hour prior to the service.
