Arnold Keith Haas

Arnold Keith Haas, age 85, passes away peacefully on Saturday September 13, 2025 at the home of his daughter in Whiteville. He was born December 17, 1939 in Caldwell County, North Carolina the middle son of the late Howard Clifton Haas and Ruth Odell Bryant. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death his wife, Dimple Smith Haas, brother, Alden Clifford Haas and great-grandson, Easton Berkery.

Arnold was a carpenter, a trucker and in later years, the owner of Haas Logging. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a gifted storyteller. He and Dimple loved going camping and driving to old car shows.

Arnold is survived by daughters, Anita Doak and husband Ken of Watauga, TN, Annette Landrum and husband Johnny of Whiteville, NC, Jennifer Scroggin and husband Mike of Fernandina Beach, FL, Lerlene Abernethy and husband Tim of Shallotte, NC and a son, Mike Haas and wife Michelle of Hildebran, NC; two step-daughters, Annette Setzer and life partner Heidi Hagans of Kings Mountain, NC and Kim Lowman of Lenoir, NC; two stepsons, Mike Lowman of Lenoir, NC and Curt Lowman and wife Crystal of Granite Falls, NC; one brother, Ronald Haas of Lenoir, NC; 18 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 9 step-great-grandchildren.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
