Barbara Ann Ramey

Mrs. Ramey was born in Montgomery County Pennsylvania on June 12, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Al and Harriet Schuster. She was active in the Loudoun County Real Estate community as a Realtor and Broker for over 50 years, most of those in a business leadership role while being an active coach and mentor to numerous professionals. She served as a Past President of the Dulles area Association of Realtors, was awarded the status of Realtor Emeritus and served many years on the Ethics and Grievance Committees. Barbara was a member of the Optimist Club, the Loudoun County Master Gardener program and was a Multiple Myeloma survivor.

Barbara’s passions included her family, drawing and painting, collecting artwork, gardening and horticulture, boating and travel, antiques, crosswords and dogs – particularly her Jack Russell terriers. She loved to laugh and was quick to find humor in everything.

She is survived by her husband, James Ramey of the home; two sons, James Shebest Jr. and wife Kimberly and Stephen Shebest and wife Dianne all of Leesburg, Va.; four grandchildren, Casey, Michelle, Jocelyn and Samuel Shebest; three brothers, Al Schuster of Quakertown, Pa., Ricky Watkins and Reggie Watkins of Hatfield, Pa.
