Betty C. Ferguson

She was born in Brunswick County on January 25, 1937 the daughter of the late, Tommy McCumbee and Etha Laura Stone McCumbee also was preceded in death by a brother, Lemuel “Buddy” McCumbee, two sisters, Ida Mae Brennan and Margaret Guyton.

Mrs. Ferguson was very active in her community. She was a member of Shallotte First Baptist Church and also attended United Vison Pentecostal Church. She loved helping as a volunteer at Autumn Care of Shallotte, loved cooking and was an avid gardener and in her spare time love to crochet.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Floyd Raymond Ferguson of the home; a daughter, Sandy Duran and husband, Greg of Cary, NC; a son, Kelwin Ferguson and wife, Donna of Shallotte, NC; a sister, Euzena Coleman also of Shallotte; four grandchildren, Noah Ferguson, Kaleb Ferguson, Stephen Duran and wife, Makiko and Charity Brown and husband, David; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Brown and Charlotte Brown; a special pet, “Lucky”; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held three o’clock in afternoon on Saturday August 11, 2018 at White Funeral and Cremation Service Shallotte Chapel by Reverend Anthony Clemmons officiating.

Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery

There will be a time of Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
