Christine Smith

Ms. Smith was born in New Hanover County on December 31, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Benny and Mary Emma Sullivan Green. She also preceded in death by her husband William Hardy Smith, her brothers, Junior, Edward and William Green, sisters, Jean Robbins and Mary Ann Whitworth. She was a devoted christian and loved children.

She is survived by her son, William Smith and wife Nancy whom she loved as her daughter of Supply; granddaughter, Regina Lowery of Shallotte; two great grandchildren, Kendall and Kara Stanley; a sister, Lillie Howell and husband Charles of Monks Corner, S.C.; her caregivers, Crystal and Chris Brown and Lisa Floyd; a very good friend that she loved like a sister, Carolyn Wiggins and also Mary Hill; a very special niece, Darlene Fowler.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday February 11, 2025 at two o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Service Lou White Memorial Chapel with Reverend Mike Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery, Ash.

Pallbearers will be, Paul Miller, Billy Bopst, Daniel Rabon, James Buffkin, Brian Moore and Chris Brown.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
