Christopher Jared Farmer

Chris was born in Brunswick County on April 24, 1986 and was the son of Chris and Sarah Farmer.

Chris was an avid surfer and loved being on or near the water. He was a talented surf board builder and shaper and avid reader. He also loved to travel. He was a landscape foreman. Chris was preceded in death by a sister, Megan Farmer; a son, Christian Haden and a grandmother, June Stanley.

He is survived by his parents, Chris and Sarah Farmer of Shallotte; his daughter whom he loved with all his heart, Haley Christina Farmer of Shallotte; grandparents, Gerald and Venda Farmer of Ocean Isle Beach, Robert Earl Williams and wife Charlotte of Wilmington, Randy Cox of Shallotte; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, July 9, 2017 at six o’clock in the evening at the cross located on the strand of Ocean Isle Beach next to the Ocean Isle Beach fishing pier with Pastor Curtiss Vann officiating.

The family requests for those who attend please wear beach and surfing apparel and or comfortable shoes and attire.
